My most favorite time of year, so the first stop is a visit to The Mum Lady. Just one of the many perks of living in beautiful Bucks County, PA. Mimi is 73 years young and has been growing mums for decades. I got there early this year because she said she didn’t grow as many as last year, only 8,000 this time around! I hope I look as good as her when I am 73. I hope you enjoy seeing some of my fall home decor this year along with a few ideas you might like to try.
(Bo loves Fall. I started her young!)
I really love velvet pumpkins that come in the most beautiful colors by high end designers, however I am not a fan of the cost. Although I have a few, I am always in search of a more cost effective solution. Walmart came through for me this year. Below you can see the 98 cent pumpkin on the left. The only thing that makes this little pumpkin look skimpy is the plastic stem. I salvaged real stems from Jack Be Little’s last year and simply just twisted off the plastic stem and glued the natural stem on. Just this little thing made me happy and I love how they look!
Whim Meets Prim
Here’s where Whim meets Prim. I collect MacKenzie Childs and the black and white check (Courtly Check) fits in perfectly with the colors of fall. I also love display cases, especially old general store ones. This long case has the original wavy glass and sliding back doors, purchased from a miniature dollhouse shop years ago. It is a unique size for displaying a collection. I hope you stop back to visit my page about collecting MacKenzie Childs coming soon.
